We often write about the things you should do to become more Stoic, but what about the things you should avoid doing? Put differently, what are some Stoic Red Flags?

  1. Blame. Habitually reproaching others for misfortunes, or even yourself, is one of the most self-destructive things you can do. Those who are dedicated to a life of wisdom understand that the impulse to blame something or someone is foolishness, that there is nothing to be gained in blaming, whether it be others or yourself. Things are what they are. Other people will think what they will think. Finger-pointing is futile.
