Semi-recently popularized by the 300 movie series, Sparta was a prominent city-state in Ancient Greece, known for their strong military.
The purpose of Spartan society was to produce the finest soldiers the world had ever seen. Everything else was secondary.
The Spartans were not philosophers (at least not intentionally). They were soldiers, trained for battle since day 1.
So how does this relate to philosophy?
