Happy Wednesday!
Last week I wrote about how to remove or avoid needless negativity from your life.
This week:
5 Stoic practices for keeping a sound mind
Let's get to it 👇
The 5 Practices:
1. Choose to live a simple life
Choosing to live a simple life doesn’t mean you have to give everything up. This negative idea would leave you feeling empty and unfulfilled. After all, you did work for many of the things you own.
Stoics instead advocate for a more positive view: appreciating what you have rather than chasing everything you don't.
If you train your mind to see what you have as enough, you will escape the endless cycle of wanting more to be happy.
“He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has“.
