This week: Seneca's Favourite Word, Euthymia

What is Euthymia?

For hundreds of years in antiquity, Greek was the dominant language amongst intellectuals. 

The earliest evidence of Greek writing dates back to 1450 BCE, also making it the world’s oldest recorded living language.

Many of the Stoics wrote in Greek. Marcus Aurelius, the Roman Emperor, was trained in Greek from a young age and he wrote his Meditations in Greek, not Latin.

Seneca was also trained in Greek and one of his favourite words to write about was euthymia (you-thee-mia). What does it mean?
