Turn off the news

There’s a difference between information and knowledge. Most knowledge stems from information. But not all information leads to knowledge.

Knowledge can be put to use, it allows you to make better decisions. If information can help you take action, then it can become knowledge.

The problem: Most information is useless. It cannot be put to use. It makes you feel smart - but it doesn't actually make you smarter.
