On this day, April 26, exactly 1902 years ago, Marcus Aurelius was born. Stoic philosophy as we know it wouldn't be the same without the contributions of this man. Despite being Emperor, he had his fair share of adversity and misfortune. He lost loved ones, dealt with difficult people, and had various health problems.Â
