Loss is an inevitable fact of life. Accepting this is extremely difficult. Good times, as good as they are, don't last forever.
The unexpected end of a love relationship, the loss of a family member, or whatever it may be. Heartbreak can come in a variety of forms, and most often when we least expect it.
Heartbreak is when we're asked to let go, but cannot. It's an indication of our sincerity. A deeply human emotion, and something that cannot be avoided.
The ancient Stoics were humans just like us, and certainly experienced heartbreak. As a result, their timeless wisdom can be consoling during this difficult time.
