Weekly Reflection

Epictetus, the Stoic philosopher who was a slave for most of his life, never actually wrote anything down. All his quotes we have today are from his students who took really good lecture notes. His words cut deep, because they were targeted to the audience in front of him, not as posturing discourse, but practical tools that his students could apply.

One of my personal favourites and most recognized quotes is the following:
