Weekly Reflection

The Stoics believed that genuine friendship is one of the things that makes life worth living. Without good friends, we're missing out on discovering new ideas, blossoming into our full potential, and savouring one of life's sweetest pleasures. Our affinity for friendship is one of the things that makes us deeply human.

"Nothing will ever please me, no matter how excellent or beneficial," Seneca wrote to his friend Lucilius "if I must keep the knowledge of it to myself. No good thing is pleasant to possess without friends to share it."
